They underscored how, even in places as far as Reykjavik, Iceland, Escobar's influence can be seen. However, they lamented that many people fail to remember the true violent history of the drug lord, who killed innocent people, used children as killers, and spread drugs that caused countless overdoses and torn families. The former DEA agents also warned about the dangerous trends in the drug industry, with the proliferation of dangerous substances like fentanyl.
