I was just as excited for the new 2021 M1 iPad Pro as anyone else. With the addition of the M1 chip and WWDC 2021 just around the corner, it could only mean good things, right? Unfortunately, although I wasn't holding my breath for WWDC, Apple still let the iPad Pro down by not addressing several fundamental issues - including poor external monitor and thunderbolt support, misleading marketing, and also continued lack of development of iPadOS (multitasking, file management, pro apps).
In this review I break down my biggest personal gripes with the M1 iPad Pro and also discuss why Apple is taking it's flagship tablet in a direction that many consumers may not want it to go.
