A police officer from Akto County Public Security Bureau in Xinjiang spotted an owl drifting on a river during routine patrol. Braving the cold, the officer waded into the water to rescue the owl. Upon inspection, he found that the owl couldn’t fly due to an injured wing. He brought it back to the police station, where they dried its feathers, treated its wound, and fed it. Once the owl recovers, they plan to release it back into the wild.
