Description:

In this video we'll have a look on Russia's biggest weakness from our point of view... IT'S GEOGRAPHY.
With hundreds of kilometers of plains between Russia and it's western neighbours, it looks like Russia is an easy target for any invader coming from the west. Also, the fact that it's capital city, Moscow, is located only 500 km from it's western border does not help Russia at all.
Altough being the largest country on earth, Russia has a big problem accesing the world ocean.
But we'll talk more about all of this in this video, so make sure you do not miss it.
Feel free to write your opinion about this in the commnets.
Hope you'll enjoy the video!

Why Russia’s biggest weakness is its Geography !?
First of all, the western part of Russia is located on the North European Plain which make the defending of it’s western border almost an impossible task, as there is no natural barrier against any invaders as it was proved in the Napoleonic Wars and in the second world war. That’s also the reason why Russia’s relations with the West are so cold as it was invaded multiple times on this route by Germany, France, and Poland.
Secondly, although they have an enormous coastline, Russia has a big problem with the access to the ocean. Arctic ocean being completely frozen almost the entire year, the only way for Russia to access the international waters is through its Black Sea ports, but the routes in and out has to go through the Bosporus strait which is controlled by NATO member Turkey. Also the Baltic Sea port of SAINT PETERSBURG is pretty much isolated as the only way out is through the Danish straight controlled by Denmark, another NATO member.
