When we talk about beaches in the Philippines, the first one that comes to mind is none other than Boracay, located in Aklan on the west side of the Philippines. So, what makes Boracay so popular? By the way, Boracay isn't just this beach; it is an entire island of white sand beaches surrounded by restaurants, hotels, bars, shops, and more. And like many other islands, Boracay was just another island, but in the 1970s, it became the filming location for two Hollywood movies: The Losers and Too Late the Hero, and German writer Jens Peters even called it "paradise on Earth" in his 1978 book about the Philippines. In the 1990s, Boracay's beaches were considered some of the best in the world. But of course sometimes, the island faces problems like too many tourists, pollution, and crowded beaches.
