In honor of Underworld's upcoming Olympic debut (directing and scoring the music for the 2012 Opening Ceremonies!), I'm starting a new Awesome Live Moments series for Underworld, in the same style of my Chemical Brothers series. There's dozens of amazing live Underworld moments, and I wouldn't dare try to put together a collection of "the best". This is a round up of my personal favorites, and some of the more overlooked moments that really stand out to me.
You can't have an Underworld collection without NUXX in it, so what better to start out with? This performance from 96 features a mind-blowingly powerful last half, with all the synths pushed far beyond their original states. Roaring, bleeping, squelching and breaking out in a beautiful conclusion... listen and have a blast!
