Ron: [gasps] Spiders! [whimpers] Spiders... spiders. They want me to tap dance. I don't want to tap dance!
Harry: You tell those spiders Ron.
Ron: Oh, yeah. T-Tell them. I'll tell them. I'll tell them. [snores]
[Harry watches the map. He watches Filch walk around. As he flips the paper, he sees Peter Pettigrew's name. Harry stares at the name.]
Rosmerta: [voice-over] Peter Pettigrew?
McGonagall: [voice-over] Little lump of a boy. Always trailing after Sirius Black.
Fudge: [voice-over] Black was vicious. He didn't kill Pettigrew. He destroyed him!
[Harry gets out of bed and goes to find Pettigrew. Paintings snore and grunt.]
Painting: Put that light out.
Harry: Sorry.
[Harry stands in the hallway and watches Peter Pettigrew's steps on the map. The footsteps approach Harry, but there is no one to be seen. Harry jumps as he sees himself in the mirror.]
Painting: Watch it there, boy.
Painting 2: We're trying to sleep here.
Painting 3: Yes, we are.
[Harry looks back at the map. Pettigrew's footsteps are leading away. Snape's footprints are about to round the corner on Harry.]
Harry: Mischief managed. Nox. [the light from his wand goes out]
Snape: [shines his wand in Harry's face] Potter. What are you doing wandering the corridors at night?
Harry: I was sleepwalking.
Snape: How extraordinarily like your father you are, Potter. He, too, was exceedingly arrogant, strutting about the castle.
Harry: My dad didn't strut. And nor do I. Now, if you don't mind, I would appreciate it if you could lower your wand.
Snape: [lowers his wand slightly] Turn out your pockets. Turn... out... your pockets. [Harry pulls out the Marauder's Map, which is now a blank piece of parchment.] What's this?
Harry: Spare bit of parchment.
Snape: Really? Open it. [Harry opens the parchment. Snap taps it with his wand.] Reveal your secrets. [Ink spreads across the paper.] Read it.
Harry: "Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs, offer their compliments to Professor Snape and..."
Snape: Go on.
Harry: "... and request that he keep his abnormally large nose out of other people's business."
Snape: Why, you insolent, little-
Lupin: Professor.
Snape: Well, well. Lupin. Out for a little walk in the moonlight, are we?
Lupin: Harry, are you alright?
Snape: That remains to be seen. [Snape snatches the map] I have just now confiscated a rather curious artifact from Mr. Potter. Take a look, Lupin. Supposed to be your area of expertise. Clearly, it's full of dark magic.
Lupin: Oh, I seriously doubt it, Severus. It looks to me as though it's merely a parchment designed to insult anyone who tries to read it. [chuckles] I suspect it's a Zonko product. [As Snape reaches for the paper, Lupin pulls it back] Nevertheless, I shall investigate any hidden qualities it may possess. It is, after all, as you say, my area of expertise. Harry, would you come with me, please? Professor, good night.
[Snape watches as they walk away.]
Painting: Are you deaf? Put that light out!
[Snape does so as he walks away.]
