Maurice Rickard is a composer and improviser from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When the pandemic lockdown started in March 2020, he started performing a Monday night livestream series of ambient guitar improvisations. "I thought I'd do it for a month or two, and then the pandemic would be over. While I was very wrong about that, I was right that people wanted to be able to hear live music together, so I've kept going." 113 performances later, there's a regular core of listeners every Monday night on Twitch, from 8-9:30 PM EDT (UTC-4).
