
David Carpenter entered into Heaven on September 6, 2015. David is survived by the love of his life of 49 years, Patsy (Shirley) Carpenter; his children: Kim (Jeff), Kevin (Holli), Kerry (Patty), Kinda (Jason), and Keith (Debbie); and his nine grandchildren: Mylee, Aubrey, Cassidy, Kreg, Kade, Jocelyn, Kole, Jeffrey, and Julianne. He worked in the ministries of First Baptist Church for over 35 years, with the majority of his time at Hyles-Anderson College. He had a tremendous influence on many lives and will be remembered for years to come for his servant's heart. He was an avid sports fan-Go Cornhuskers-and he refereed local high school sports for 25 years. He will be remembered most as a man who loved his God and His family. Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” A viewing was held on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Memory Lane Funeral Home, 6305 W. Lincoln Highway (US 30), Crown Point, Indiana. The funeral was held at Memory Lane on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. with a one hour visitation prior to the service.
