A mafia-like gang war has erupted across Scotland as emerging drug dealers are fighting to take over from high-profile gangsters currently behind bars.More than 100 police officers have been deployed to tackle the escalating conflict, which has seen a spree of firebomb attacks on properties linked to notorious crime bosses.
A senior police official has claimed that paranoia and infighting are rife within organised crime networks, following a series of violent attacks in Glasgow and Edinburgh that left a 12-year-old boy and a pensioner dead in their homes.
Gang associates have been filming and sharing footage of arson attacks on social media, using the platforms to intimidate rivals and issue threats as tensions continue to rise.
