When gangs and cartels seize control of countries, they represent a major risk to citizens, governments, and neighboring countries. On top of that, they can be incredibly difficult to remove, due to corruption within governments. It's curious then, how a young President from El Salvador has managed to take on the gangs and actually make progress in lowering the crime stats against his citizens. Today we'll take a look at what President Nayib Bukele has been doing and what implications his decisions have for the people of El Salvador, for better or worse.
