
The Zombie recipe really captures the essence of tiki drinks: a long list of ingredients, some fancy rums and syrups and tropical flavours. Don the Beachcomber was notoriously secretive with his drink recipes. He would create blends of syrups and fruit juices and call them “Don’s mixes” so that even his bartenders did not know the precise ingredients to make his signature drinks. The Zombie is not exception, the original recipe calls for “Don’s Mix” which was essentially a blend of grapefruit juice and cinnamon simple syrup. In my recipe, we just add those components separately.
This Zombie cocktail drink recipe is simply amazing! but however you make it, the zombie is a delicious classic piece of Tiki history, enjoy!
