In this video I'll show you how I am routing the audio signal from my OP-Z into the inputs of my 606 to apply two specific mastering effects as well as the onboarding mastering compressor. It was not my goal to radically change the sound but to add subtle enhancements to the, two track recording process.
I hope you find this interesting. Doing this kind of processing chain can be quite simple in a DAW but sometimes it's quite fun to do it with hardware and the 606 does not seem to have a lot of videos out there. An underrated piece of kit IMO.
There is a jam on the OP-Z after the demo and I hope you'll stick around for that as well. As always, happy to answer any questions.
I'm also taking this opportunity to announce a new album that is coming out September 18th 2020. I would be honored if you chose to give it a listen. You'll notice that I don't have ads on my channel. I don't ask people to contribute to a Patreon (not that there's anything wrong with that) but if anyone wants to support me, I would love for you to pick up some of my music. It's widely available on all music platforms but I personally prefer Bandcamp as they are fair and equitable to artists.
My new album 'Passage' is available here:
There's a special preview of the record at the end of this video as well.
Hey, let's connect on socials too!
