I learned "Shaving a Dead Man" (Shave a Dead Man) from a recording of Oscar Wright of Mercer County, West Virginia. The original words to this Black banjo song are lost; however, it is very similar to "Georgie Buck." My instrument is an 1888 Thompson & Odell "The Luscomb" banjo tuned ~ fG♯C♯G♯C♯ (A = 432 Hz). Standard pitch would be g♯BEBE (A = 440 Hz).
