Transform Fest: Two Weeks, Twice a Year.Transform is YBCA’s exciting new performance festival. Each fall and spring, we will convene leading contemporary artists for a provocative showcase of dance, music, and theater that can only happen at YBCA.
Why Citizenship?
That’s the provocation YBCA gave to nine prolific Bay Area dance companies and choreographers. Designed as a springboard for newly commissioned works, this question is a thread woven throughout the festival. With a lineup spanning contemporary ballet, dance theater, performance art/movement, and experimental and contemporary dance, this fall’s Transform festival is one of YBCA’s most ambitious dance productions ever.
