Nancy Nielsen, senior associate dean for health policy in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, discusses how honored she was to be asked to do an interview for the Obama Presidency Oral History, which is now online. Nielsen recalls her contributions to the Affordable Care Act while she was president of the American Medical Association and after, when she was "on loan" for two years to the White House from UB in order to help write the rules for the ACA. In the end though, she says she always knew she would come back to UB.
