I plugged My Volca FM & G&L Tribute Doheny into separate inputs of the Ditto x4. One output then went directly to the Tascam 688 cassette tape machine and the other went to a guitar amp (which was subsequently recorded via 2 mics to tape) - Free WAV download The Korg Electribe was used for one of the basses, drums and an arpeggiated sample from the CMI fairlight.
The guitar amp is a bass practice amp and is pretty bad. I used a Big Muff and cheap Kokko compressor pedal, using the volume knob on the guitar to go between clean and extreme (it gets shoegazy towards the end).
Everything was recorded to the Tascam 688 Portastudio and I used a Danelectro FAB delay, plugged into the tape machine's aux send, for the final bounce.
