Water from the South Coast Treatment Plant is to be redirected for agricultural use.
This includes recharging the acquifers at Gibbons Boggs, Christ Church.
Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation Frederick Inniss says this will be a game changer for agriculture, with about 10,000 acres of land estimated to be impacted as a result.
