
The musical composition is generative, in that the melody originates from a chaos-algorithm that relates to the general dynamics, rhythms, and harmonic content of the other instruments, while the rhythms, glitching, and morphing sounds react to the harmonies and melodies. An algorithmic, musical ouroboros of sorts. Ultimately, the whole thing ends up taking on a life of its own, as a weird living and breathing organism, while interacting with human influence, like a virtual member of the band.
The moving “creature” in the video was generated by fractals that listen and react to the sounds the musical piece is comprised of. This was a natural choice, as the music is also algorithmic. The different parameters of the fractals relate to the elements of 67, and become a harmonious and smooth visual representation of the music.
