Old San Juan greeted us with its stunning Spanish colonial architecture. From the impressive Bastión de Las Palmas to the historic Plaza de Armas, every corner told a story. At Plaza de la Rogativa, we discovered the fascinating tale of how a women's prayer procession accidentally saved the city from British invasion in 1797!
The highlight was definitely Castillo San Felipe del Morro, a massive 500-year-old fortress that's protected San Juan's harbor since the 16th century.
After all that walking through history, we ended our day with a very American twist - Chick-fil-A in our car, before heading to our next adventure in Aguadillas, two hours away.
