Hello friends, Caitlin here.
Irish/UK poet, singer & songwriter Cecilia Kearney composed this beautiful song in memory of a cherished friend she lost. She intended for it to capture a soul's journey to what some refer to as 'the other side.'
Neil and I were thrilled to help bring this song to fruition for her. It features a stunning melody and a deeply moving essence.
As Cecilia expresses, "The final line, which is repeated, speaks to the belief that a soul may depart from our bodies during deep sleep and ascend to what is known as the astral plane. After my friend passed away, I had a dream where, although I couldn't see her, I heard her voice reassuring me that she was alright. She encouraged me to write to her daughter for photos, which I did. It was incredibly helpful." Cecilia Kearney.

Lyrics - Soul Friend in my Dreams
There's a playground in my soul,
Where you wait for me to be.
If you've ever lost a friend, your 'Anam cara' will they be.
Soul Friend of mine you take my hand
And walk with me beside a stream.
Only in moonlight, now, we stand
One day in sunshine, not our dreams.
You dried my tears and made me smile.
Now show me playgrounds in the sky
Why you were called, I'll never know
Beyond the veil you wait on high
So for now I'll close my eyes.
That is all I need to do ;
Go to that playground in my soul,
For there you wait, I always know, I always know.
Soul Friend of mine, do take my hand and walk with me beside those streams.
Only in moonlight now we stand.
One day, in sunshine, not our dreams...
Not our dreams,
Not our dreams
Not our dreams.
