The original Suspiria (1977) is one of my favourite horror movies of all time. The cinematography was well ahead of its time, and the fever-dream atmosphere the film creates is unique and immersive. But the standout feature for me is the soundtrack, composed by the Italian progressive metal band Goblin. In particular, I’ve always been drawn to the haunting main theme that recurs throughout the film. Here is my interpretation.
