Today's video is a quick 'companion' tutorial to Scott's epic How to compile LibreELEC for Amlogic devices tutorial, specifically for the Amlogic S805 MXQ box. This tutorial uses KSZAQ's Amlogic source code to compile and also slightly modify to build LibreELEC for S805 devices.

You can check the link out for the full written guide to compiling LibreELEC below.

Learn how to use Linux to set up your computer for compiling, pulling source code from GitHub, downloading packages and compiling your own operating system!

This guide can be applied to compiling LibreELEC for various devices, including the Raspberry PI. You will need to change the Github directory for the appropriate source.

In this guide I'll be using Ubuntu 14.04, but other versions such as Ubuntu 16.04 etc will work, also other flavors such as Ubuntu MATE, Lubuntu, Debian etc. should also work.

Shout out to Kszaq for his hard work in modifying the LibreELEC source code to work on Amlogic chipsets.
