The Contemporary Jewish Museum and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts reimagine the Yerba Buena area as an Edenic "utopia" grown over by (locally-sourced) flora and fauna. Animated with props from Elisheva Biernoff's interactive magnetic installation, "The Tools Are in Your Hands", 2013.Through January 2014, exhibitions at both YBCA and CJM consider the future. CJM curator Jeanne Gerrity draws illuminating parallels between how artists envision the future in YBCA's "Dissident Futures" and in the CJM's "Work in Progress: Considering Utopia":
