NFL Academy OL Yahya Attia is another late addition to Colorado's 2024 class
For the third time in the last three weeks, the Buffaloes have added to their 2024 prep signing class.
6-foot-4, 330-pound offensive lineman Yahya Attia, from the NFL Academy in England, announced his commitment to Colorado on Wednesday. BuffStampede.com has confirmed Attia will be a scholarship addition for CU, now giving them 10 high school signees to go with 25 transfer pick-ups.
SKOBuffs! @DeionSanders CU soon!
I‘m so excited to sign for the University of Colorado Boulder! ?
Attia had other reported offers, from FCS programs Campbell and Long Island. He was under-the-radar of Power 4 programs until Buffaloes offensive line coach Phil Loadholt evaluated him and extended an offer in mid-March.
New Colorado signee Yahya Attia comes to the Buffs from NFL Academy, where his head coach is Steve Hagen, a long-time NFL and college coach. When current #cubuffs OC Pat Shurmur was the head coach of the Cleveland Browns in 2011-12, Hagen was the Browns' tight ends coach.
Attia was born in Egypt, but was primarily raised in Austria before enrolling at the NFL Academy. The England-based program also produced linebacker Kofi Taylor-Barrocks, who joined the Buffaloes last year.
"I always wanted to play football in America at the next level... and a dream came true," Attia told talkSPORT.com. "Coach Prime, he says they only raise men, not boys, so I have to be ready for it."
Are you still searching for an Offensive Lineman who plays with anger and a shocking level of effort? I’m that guy!

Attia joins Starke (Fla.) Bradford cornerback Malakai Murphy and Naples (Fla.) High cornerback Ebenezer Bouzi as recent scholarship additions to the Buffs' 2024 class. All three are expected to arrive in Boulder this summer, as are early signees Drelon Miller and Kamron Mikell.
