Colombia’s capital, Bogotá, was struck by a 6.5-magnitude earthquake. The epicenter was located northeast of Paratebueno, and the tremor caused panic in the capital as buildings shook violently and infrastructure sustained damage. In Santa Cecilia, some houses collapsed, while a landslide occurred in Uribe Uribe. Damage was also reported along the Villavicencio–Yopal road and in the town of Pácora, Caldas. The Colombian Geological Service confirmed that multiple aftershocks followed the main quake.
