New Kontakt Drum Instrument Available -
Watch in HD!!! This is a drum cover of a song called 'Horizon', by a group called 'The Cinematic Orchestra'.
'The Cinematic Orchestra' is one of my favorite groups, and I absolutely love the music. One of my best friends Lukas Guyader was the one who got me into the group a few years ago. A lot of TCO's music has actually influenced my own writing, as much as you wouldn't be able to tell. I derive a lot of my influence from a lot of different places.
I embellished a lot of small parts in this song, but I tried not to go overboard. There are a couple of neat fills here and there, which I was really excited about. For the most part, I didn't do anything insane, and I did my best to stick closely to what the original song does.
Im using a fairly different setup from what I've used in the past. I wanted to change things up when I got home from my last tour. I felt like it would inspire me to want to practice a lot more and work on different things that I've needed to work on for some time now. This setup is A LOT of fun. Its really simple, and its feels really smooth to move around on. This setup is actually inspired by Navene Koperweis. My last tour with Monuments was with his band Entheos, and him and I really got along on that tour. He was constantly experimenting with his setup, and everything felt so compact and smooth on his kit. So I wanted to give something similar a try as soon as I got back home.
Here's what Im using in this video.
