Mary Wilson was an original member of The Supremes from the early 60s until 1976. She wasn't nearly as successful as a solo artist as fellow Supremes member Diana Ross, but it at least she recorded a good mix of love ballads and uptempo songs. Wilson released only two solo albums: in 1979 and 1992. Wilson is still performing at venues today singing the hits from her days with the Supremes along with her solo songs, plus being a grandmother, jazz and blues singer, humanitarian, and successful political advocate for artist's rights in the music industry.
