We review the new for 2020 Dewalt DCD998 Combi Drill and the DCB208 8Ah battery.
Comparison with DCD996 drilling through concrete blocks and wood.
We test if the power detect works with Flexvolt batteries. We also take the DCD998 apart and show the internal components in comparison to the DCD996. Correction: We have since tested the DCD998 with a 2019 manufactured 9ah Flexvolt battery and can confirm that newer Flexvolt batteries do work with "Power Detect". The batteries we tested in the video were 2017 & 2018 dated.
