Thousands of Benfica fans took to Lisbon streets to celebrate and cheer their club as it was crowned Portuguese league champion after a 3-0 win at home against bottom-placed Santa Clara.

Benfica players joined the celebrating fans who gathered at Marques de Pombal roundabout, in downtown Lisbon, where they traditionally celebrate. This was the club's record-extending 38th league title and their first in four years. Fans turned out in their masses to celebrate with flares and fireworks.
