There is an expectation of 31 percent growth in bookings to Barbados from the US market this tourism season.
That's the word from Minister of Tourism and International Transport Ian Gooding-Edghill.
He was speaking during a press conference to mark the return of Delta Airlines service from Atlanta.
He says compared to last year, there has been growth and with Delta, it will only go higher.
According to the Minister, Delta is forecast to bring significant revenue to Barbados.
He says so far reservations for flights are well over 20,000 passengers.
