Instant Moong Idli Recipe - Fluffy and Delicious! | No Rice No Fermentation Idli | Easy Breakfast

Instant Rava Moong Idli Recipe! This quick and easy recipe requires no fermentation. Made with roasted rava, soaked moong dal, curd, and Eno, these idlis are fluffy, healthy, and delicious. ✅Chutney for idli:

🥣Ingredients: (Total idli makes using this measurement is 20 to 22)

1 cup rava (sooji/semolina :160gm) - Here I used coarse rava, upma rava
1 cup moong (green gram : 200gm)
1 cup curd (yogurt)
1 teaspoon Eno fruit salt
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Oil for greasing idli molds


Procedure:


Soak Green gram:
Soak 1 cup green moong(green gram) in water for 6-8 hours or overnight.

Roast Rava/sooji/samolina:
In a pan roast rava in medium low heat for 5 minutes.
Transfer to another plate and allow to cool down.

Soak Rava:
Once the rava cooled down, add curd in it. Mix well without any lumbs.
Set aside for 10 minutes.

Grind Moong :
Rinse and Drain and grind it into a smooth paste.

Add the moong dal paste to the soaked rava curd mixture.
Mix well to form a smooth batter.
If the batter is too thick, add a little water to achieve the right consistency.
Add salt to taste and mix again.

Add Eno:
Just before steaming, add 1 teaspoon of Eno fruit salt to the batter.
Stir gently until the batter starts to bubble and froth.

Grease Molds and Pour Batter:
Grease the idli molds with a little oil.
Pour the batter into the molds, filling them about 3/4 full.

Steam the Idlis:
Place the idli stand in a steamer with water at the bottom.
Steam the idlis for 10-12 minutes on medium heat until they are cooked and fluffy.
To check if they are done, insert a toothpick into an idli. If it comes out clean, they are ready.

Serve:
Remove the idlis from the molds using a spoon.
Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sambar.
