As Florida prepares for Hurricane Ian, predicted to be the worst in a century, NASA is relocating the Artemis I Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion capsule back to the Vehicle Assembly Building tonight, putting the fate of the historic moon trip in doubt.

Due to the reversal, the historic Artemis I mission will now take off within the launch window that closes on October 4.

American space officials were still debating on Monday whether or not to send Artemis I back to the assembly site after cancelling Tuesday's lunar mission.
