But before that crucial step, Philippe cleans out the bell housing from all the oil that’s leaked through over time. And then, at last, the moment arrives—piece by piece, the clutch goes back in. After that, Philippe reconnects every part, making the tractor whole again. And finally, they try to start it… a beautiful and long-awaited moment. It’s a defining week in the adventures surrounding our old red McCormick tractor. And in the midst of all the mechanical work, I take on a little adventure of my own: my very first attempt at baking focaccia!
