Manuel Rasco Mazo, known artistically as DJ Rasco, is one of the most emblematic names on the Spanish electronic music scene, especially in the Breaks genre. Born in Moguer, Huelva, DJ Rasco has a career of more than 25 years in music, a career that has been marked by his effort, passion and dedication, positioning himself as one of the national and international references of the genre.

Since its inception in 1987, Rasco has mastered numerous styles, such as techno, breaks, trance, acid techno, and jungle, being a pioneer in the introduction of these genres in Andalusia. His talent has led him to be awarded Best DJ at the Spanish Breaks Awards 2008 and recognised as one of the 20 best DJs in the world in his category by the prestigious British contest Breakpoll.

DJ Rasco began his musical journey by creating a radio show where he played tracks from influential bands such as Front 242, Nitzer EBB, 808 State and Orbital. Later, he was part of The End project, experimenting with techno-pop and hip-hop. From 1993 onwards, his name began to appear on flyers for raves and discos in cities such as Seville, Cadiz and Malaga, becoming the DJ representing Huelva.

In 1998 he founded his own promotion agency, Another Dimension, whose purpose was to introduce new trends in electronic music. In 2000, he started collaborating with the promoter Satisfaxion, participating in iconic festivals such as ElectroMusicParadise, Tribal Nation, Espárrago Rock and SFX Live Dance Festival, where he shared the booth with great artists such as Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Anthony Rother, and many more.

In 2001, Rasco opened his record shop Another Dimension Records, establishing himself as a reference in the distribution of electronic music in Andalusia. In 2002, he released six albums under the pseudonym SFXBeats, the highlight being the hit ‘Serious Sound’, which sold over 1,500 copies. This brought him to the attention of British breakbeat stations such as Pyrotechnic, BreaksFM and IBreaks, which propelled his career internationally.
