Matt Gaetz has withdrawn from consideration to be US attorney general in President-elect Donald Trump's administration. “It is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition,” Gaetz tweeted Thursday. The former congressman from Florida was the subject of a House ethics probe. It's not clear if Gaetz will go back to Congress. Bloomberg's Kailey Leinz reports.
