Combining Girlschool with the heavily distorted guitars of Doom Metal and the unkempt style of Nirvana, the all girl Grunge band L7 was closer to Doom Speed Metal than Grunge but in the early 90's the LA-based band was snatched up as a hot commodity and thrown in under the umbrella with the boys from Seattle.
