"You Always Hurt The One You Love" was released after Fats had left Imperial Records(1962). Catching in on the ABC-sound, Imperial thought they would catch-in with this one; they didn't.
"Hurt" hit the charts on April 27, 1963 and peaked at POS. 102. For 5 weeks it "Bubbled Under" the national charts.
After his first failure, totally missing the charts, with "Stop The Clock", this was his 3rd Imperial failure in a row. Luckily his ABC-recordings were just starting to hit the charts; A month later "There Goes My Heart Again" was his first hit in 10 months!
