We share some excerpts of pieces written by our beloved friend and longtime contributor Dr. Refaat Alareer.

He wrote them in October, but they were first published by The Electronic Intifada last week. Refaat, a poet, writer, professor and mentor to countless students in Gaza, was murdered by Israel on 6 December 2023.
