Raising chickens for eggs is such a joy for us! Last year we adopted two chickens that are senior hens. These lovely ladies rarely lay eggs now but we still enjoy having them around 💕 When you raise chickens for eggs, it is important that you are familiar with how long they typically produce eggs and that you understand what that means for you as a chicken owner.

There are many factors that can impact how old a chicken lives and I share some of those in this video. I also share with you some of the challenges we are facing with one of our older hens, Luna.
