In the summer of 2019, the National Youth Dance Company toured MADHEAD, a new production by the 2018-19 NYDC Guest Artistic Director and Olivier award winner Botis Seva. This specially commissioned short film, directed by Ben Williams, is inspired by the full-length theatre work. 

MADHEAD saw 38 of the UK’s best young dancers fuse contemporary dance, physical theatre and hip-hop. Botis Seva’s choreographic style combined with the dancers’ energy and talent produces an enthralling and energetic piece.

National Youth Dance Company creates and performs innovative and influential dance, bringing together the brightest talent from across England to work intensively with Sadler’s Wells’ renowned Associate Artists and visiting companies. The company has established a reputation for challenging, high quality work and produces dancers that are open-minded, curious and brave.
