The P0720 code appears when the engine control module (ECM) detects an issue with the output speed sensor. This sensor monitors the rotational speed of the transmission’s output shaft and sends that data to the ECM. The ECM uses this information to determine shift points and control the torque converter clutch. If the sensor is malfunctioning, the ECM may not shift the transmission properly, leading to performance issues. But what causes this code? Watch this video to find out!
