iLoud Micro Monitor already proved that it has some amazing capabilities for a monitor of its size, but how does it compare to my favourite studio monitors under 300dollars, JBL LSR305? Well, again one can not listen to it and not wonder how is it possible that speakers of this size can sound this big, as there is almost no difference in "size" of the sound. They are also voiced very closely, so You do have to listen closely for the differences to find them, especially on normal listetning levels. And what are the differences? JBL is tighter in the bass response and has better initial punch thanks to bigger driver, it is also a bit clearer and natural in the midrange and top nd. Bigger cabinet, drivers and amps mean that on higher levles JBL showes to iLoud that some of the laws of physics can not be overcome even with most advanced DSP processing. But on low, normal and a bit higher than normal levels the differences are rather small, so kudos to iLoud for creating such an amazing little speaker!
