The second film of the trilogy ("Front without flanks", "Front behind the front line", "Front behind enemy lines") about a special detachment led by Major Mlynsky. 1944 The German command is developing Operation Bismarck, the purpose of which is to disorientate Soviet intelligence by planting false information and setting a trap for the Soviet troops. At this time, work is underway in Germany on a new secret "superweapon", with which the Nazis pin their hopes of victory. Soviet intelligence officers manage to unravel the enemy's plan and discover a strategically important, secret, powerfully fortified area under the signature stamp "Zone "B". In an effort to destroy the Mlynsky detachment and his commander personally, the Germans create a false partisan detachment "For the Motherland". And from this cruel and difficult duel the detachment Mlynsky comes out with honor, defeating the false partisans.
