This is a song written by me but it suited Lazar's voice much more than mine ' it's a sweet little love song ' and i'm just not that sweet to be honest .

We do have another version of this song 'that version is in the shortlist for a french fragrance campaign ' this is a later version ' lazar's solo recording just him and his guitar.

I can't call it a basement demo because it's not ' the song was recorded in a studio with high end microphones ' for indie credibility i'd like to call it a basement tape ' i think it still has indie credibility anyway. has a nice timeless quality.

Note : on the track that we linked to this video ' the only one ' that song is the first song lazar wrote when he was about 15 and the picture that accompanies that song is from the time he wrote his first song .

Lazar can do sweet convincingly ' I can't .
we recorded this with a deliberate nod towards 1950's euro noire.
we used certain mics and recording methods to try to get an authentic 50's euro noire sound .
