a trilogy of stygian epics, each offering their respective flavour of darkness. "Spoonman" evokes the after-hours chaos of a dystopic metropolis, "Dark Train" a midnight carriage to places uncharted & unsullied, while "Push Upstairs" throws us into the midst of a sweaty and enraptured dancefloor. amazing performances. the "Oblivion with Bells" era is unduly dismissed by many... but like much of Underworld's best works, it can take quite some time before its quality really sets in... years and decades even - look at the recent reassessment of "A Hundred Days Off"!
