This restaurant has been losing money for 13 years and it all started when this woman lost her daughter in 2005, she went into a period of depression but when she got out of it she realized that she needs to help carry on her daughter's dream. So she has been working hard ever since. Not even taking a day off, because she doesn't want anyone to starve for even a day.
Each bowl is only $3 and the customers are grateful for the nutritious meals for the price. They have been going to the same shop for years. Some have passed away and some are now bed bound so a kind man has taken upon himself to hand deliver the meals to the customers.
These customers don't lock their doors because they are afraid of dying and not being found for a long time. In fact, this meal delivery man has been finding dead bodies who passed away in their sleep, it's never gets easy but he keeps doing the unpaid job.
In fact, all the employees don't get paid but they are happy everyday to go to work. They are mothers who have lost their children and together they help each other cope. This place has also become a place where old people gather and catch up. It create a sense of community and it's often the only place where they get to talk to each other. It's a haven for people without families or whose families live far away and rarely visits.
Do you think they should try and stay longer for as long as possible?
