As a New Zealander living in Europe, I have travelled 25+ hour long haul flights MANY times. This is my ultimate carry on essentials list and guide to what to wear on a long flight (speaking from experience here). All the long haul flight / what to wear on a flight hacks are listed down below!

My cabin baggage :

WHAT TO PACK LONG HAUL

1. Toiletries
- Eye drops
- Lip Balm
- Face & Hand cream / oils
- Deoderant
- Baby wipes
- Hand Sanitiser
- Hairbrush
- Toothbrush & Mini toothpaste

2. General Comfort
- Travel pillow (memory foam like this: )
- Sleeping pills (take a few hours in, at least 8 hours before the end of the flight!!)
- Eye mask
- Noise cancelling headphones (like these: )
- Snacks (water, not too salty to avoid dehydration)
- Chewing gum

3. Entertainment
- Check airline website in advance to select your movies
- Magazines
- Netflix episodes
- Podcasts
- E-reader
- A real book / puzzle book to give your eyes a break
- Portable charger + cables

WHAT TO WEAR ON A LONG FLIGHT
- Change of underwear
- Layers - leggings, singlet, t-shirt, over-sized cardigan, summer-weight scarf
- comfy squishy socks and sneakers/trainers
- Compression socks (like these: )
- no make-up
