Wanna Be With My Buddies by Raffy Espiritu

These are some of my dear friends and family who mean so much to me and I missed very much during our sheltering in place during the height of Covid-19. I'm sure you can all relate.

As we enter the post-pandemic reality, the urge to reflect on the lessons learned during that period in our history led me to produce the EP 'NEVER SURRENDER'.

Never Surrender is a collection of four songs that build on staying positive and optimistic about the future despite the odds, that we cannot afford to get stuck with past.

This theme is captured by the first song in the EP which is fitting to be the title to this album, “Never Surrender “ as we focus to welcome what is yet to come and embrace the dawning of new era despite the enormous headwinds of the times. Kenny was kind enough to perform this song as his calming voice is most suited to capture the mood of this song. “We Moved On” reinforces the act of courage we need to overcome challenges that are sure to surface in the coming years. “Here is a Love Song” brings back the sense of tenderness and empathy for each other to renew connections at a deeper level. This collection ends with “Wanna Be with My Buddies” that explodes with the exuberance of being re-connected in person with friends and the community after having been sheltered in place for the first time in our life experience.
