Last August, my daughter and I packed up all her things in her car and drove 37 hours from California to Michigan. After helping her get settled, I headed back to California, really hoping that nothing would happen to her living so far away. But just four months later, she was in a serious car accident. The lovely car she had bought while juggling two part-time jobs was gone, and instead of getting a new one, she decided to move right next to the school. We loaded her belongings into the SUV we rented from the Detroit airport, and moving everything meant we made the same trip back and forth on that road more than ten times!(This video is made to capture memories with my daughter, who is experiencing winter for the first time in her 21 years)
